But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married. The name, or character, of Zion in the past was “Deserted” and “Desolate.” These old names recalled past suffering and defeat. Its new name and nature will be “Hephzibah,” meaning “my delight is in her,” and “Beulah,” meaning “married.” The LORD
